We can move your office from one site to another, from one site to a number of locations or within the same building. Office Removals Survey

Smart's will arrange a free site survey where our consultant will assess your requirements. Following the removals survey we will send a quotation, which carries no obligation, and then confirm the details in writing if you wish to proceed.

Removal Crews

Each office removal crew consists of a Team Leader, Drivers and Porters:

• Team Leaders liaise with you, ensure everything is going to plan and direct the removal men. The Team Leader will have vast experience from carrying out other office moves on a daily basis.
• Working Drivers secure the load using tie rails and webbing and protect the furniture using transit blankets.
• Porters carry the furniture and load/unload according to the Team Leader's instructions.

Vehicles

• Heavy Goods Vehicles - these are our largest vehicles and they can take a weight of up to 16 tonnes and hold up to 2000 cubic feet.
• 7.5 tonne Vehicles - these vehicles are about 20 feet long and are ideal for office removals, where the distance between the locations is relatively small. Each truck has a tail lift or walk up ramp for easy loading. Smarts will often supply 2 or 3 per shift.
• Luton Box Vans - small vehicles ideal for use when there are height and width restrictions.

Dismantling and Reassembling Office Furniture

Where access is tight our men can dismantle office furniture so it will fit through doorways. Any furniture dismantled will be reassembled in the new premises.

Building Protection

Smart's will protect the common areas of the offices to ensure each building is not damaged. We use corex in lifts and on marble floors and hardboard will be placed on cobbled or uneven surfaces so furniture can be moved on trollies and skates.

Parking

Smart's will liaise with the council and arrange dispensations at each site in advance of the move.

Setting up Furniture

All the furniture will be set up according to your floor plans and specifications. At the end of the move the Team Leader will walk through the building with you to ensure everything is in the correct place.

Crates and Packing Materials

During the office removals site survey the consultant will assess how many crates, computer crates and what packing materials are required. Smart's will arrange the delivery and collection of crates on the dates that suit you.

Weekends and Night Shifts

In order to ensure minimal downtime for your company Smart's can move you after hours and at weekends.

Small Office Moves

Our office removals service offers a flexible pricing structure including both hourly and daily rates. When you only have a few items in the office to move we will charge by the hour so you only pay for the time taken, if there is slightly more to move we can charge our men out for the day. Our telephone coordinators will be able to decide which pricing structure will suit you best.

Move Management

Smart's can supply people to manage the move on your behalf. The Move Manager will be on site prior to the start of the move to produce a schedule, liaise with staff and ensure everything is organised. He/she remains on site during the move to check the relocation is going according to plan and he/she will remain on site after the office move to offer post move support.

Project Management

We have people available who can arrange the whole move right from the start. They can find your new location, deal with the legal issues, organise the refurbishment, carry out space planning exercises and deal with any other contractors involved.

Smart's can supply a full range of packing materials and crates for your office removal including:

• A1 crates (for paperwork and filing).
• Computer crates (for computers, faxes and printers).
• Cages (for large monitors and other outsize items).
